Use of topographic maps and geospatial data to locate potential sites. Consultation with local authorities and communities to obtain information on available land and its viability. Site visits to assess the physical characteristics of the land, such as accessibility, topography and soil conditions.

Design and Sizing of a Solar System to Power a Water Pump in Kasba Tadla, Morocco

Responsibilities: Analysis of the local community's water needs. Identification of the capacity and type of pump to be used. Study of climatic conditions and sunshine in Kasba Tadla to determine the availability of solar energy. Calculation of the power required to operate the water pump based on daily energy consumption and seasonal variations. Selection of solar system components, including solar panels, storage batteries, charge controllers and inverters. Sizing of solar panels and batteries to ensure uninterrupted power supply even in low sunlight conditions. Development of the solar system's electrical diagram and simulation on PVSyst.
